Luke Toomey has again led the way for the Kiwi contingent in China, this time at the Yunnan Classic.
Toomey showed guts to recover from a disasterous start to his final round (5 bogies and a birdie on his front 9), posting a 2 under par back 9 to hold on for 2nd place, 5 shots behind runaway winner Tuxuan Wu of China.
Matt Perry had another solid result, just missing out on a top 10 at 4 over par, on a leaderboard with only 4 players under par for the week. Fraser Wilkin and Kieran Muir were the other Kiwis to make the cut, finishing 47th and 60th respectively, while the course got the better of China based Kiwi Shane Kuiti this week.
