Waikato Golf would like to Congratulate our respective winners of their Divisions at our 2025 Primary and Intermediate Schools Competition, played at Pirongia Golf Club on Friday 14th November.

Division 1 Winner - Blake Hill ( Tamahere School ) Won in a playoff.

Division 2 Winner - Aiden Smallfield ( Ngatea School )

Division 3 Winners - MIS Pin Seekers ( Morrinsville Intermediate ) L/R: Cash Sheehan, Declan Keat, Charlie Hamer.

A huge thank you to Pirongia Golf Club for once again hosting our 98 junior golfers and to the volunteers that helped.

The course looked amazing due to the impressive work that Dan Thorby and his volunteers put in.

3 Divisions

Division 1:  9-Hole Championship Division 

This Division is designed for players with official  golf handicaps OR for players who are competent in playing 9 holes of golf (on a regular length course).

Division 2: 9-Hole Purple Tee Division

Designed for players who have played and/or currently play golf and are CONFIDENT playing 9-holes on a shortenend course.  It is recommended that these players are accompanied by an adult.

Division 3: 3-Person Team Ambrose

This division is designed for players who are new to golf and will feel comfortable playing 4-6 shortenend holes as a team with a Best Ball Ambrose Format.  Teams shall consist of 3 players and must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.
