The Brian Perry Charitable trust is staging a $100,000 dollar professional prize money pro-am in Hamilton from 18th – 20th March 2010.
This is a not for profit event with a birdies for charity and some youth scholarships some of the outcomes however the main goals are;
1. To bring another nationally recognised, iconic event to Hamilton and New Zealand.
2. To stage the best Pro-Am golf tournament in New Zealand with the highest quality field possible.
3. To ensure that the event is accessible to the community, golfers and spectators alike
It will be a great event and highlights include:
$100k professional purse ensuring a quality field. This will be the richest professional purse available in the North Island.
$30- $40 k amateur prizes
Cocktail evening Thursday at the Casino sponsored by Sky City.
BBQ dinner Friday while watching/competing in a shootout on the grandstand surrounded 18th green
Television coverage including a ½ hour stand alone programme
David Smail has confirmed his participation and we are confident that we will have a high quality field of professional players. This event has order of merit status from the NZ PGA.
